brief bio

--Music Enthusiast/Rapper
--Sportsman (Kenya Team American Football, Rugby, Soccer, Athletics 100m)
--Graduate, Bachelor's degree in Mass communication
--Lecturer in the making.
Denver Walter Oduor Awich, 22,was born and bred in Kisumu. A second born in a family of five toCaroline Achieng and Ibrahim Noi.

I sat for my KCPE exams in 2010,and got admitted to Agoro Sare High School, attaining grade A- and eventually ended up at JKUAT.Unfortunately for me, my application to join law school at UON was thwarted despite meeting the required cluster points.I was overly devastated, hence decided to change courses. I had to let go of my law ambitions since Karen Campus is miles away and life was kicking me from all edges meaning survival at Karen would have been a major tall order. I then settled for Real Estate but sadly my course change application was past deadline so i decided to stick to mass communication which i was initially called for. I still had the same motivation,to just work hard. My grades never dropped for all the four years i spent in campus. Musically,i am an upcoming and recording hip hop artist. My love for hip hop datesback to my salad days in Standard 4,when my elder brother introduced me to a track done by Lil Wayne (Make it Rain). Since then i fell in love with everything about hip hop. All that while i never imagined I'd someday become a rapper until i got admitted to the university Since life became unbearable, from missing out on my dream course, nursing heartbreaks, extreme brokenness, my elder brother suffering from cancer, irresponsible dad, low self esteem etcetera, i decided to try venting my feelings via music. A few of my classmates noticed my enthusiasm for music,so someday safaricom had an activation within the school.Various talents were being displayed and when rappers were called on stage my mates pushed me to go for it. I don't rem what i mumbled up there, i only rem winning that rap battle and the crowd going frenzy. I met Cedrick on the beat a few weeks later and he told me i could become a great artist some day.

It sounded dumb at first, and that's why i took several weeks before i finally decided to give it a try. I then recorded my first track in Feb, 2016 while still a first year.Same year i won male artist of the year, JKUAT and curtain raised the stage for Khaligraph Jones during 2016 East Africa University Games. I've shared the stage with King Kaka, Kristoff, Khaligraph,Wyre,Mejja, among others.I've also had a short session at HBR.I have over 50 recorded tracks with my best project so far being Taki Taki
I was elected to JKUAT student leaders council as an executive student leader in charge of Sports and Entertainment in 2017 where i served diligently and left countless legacies on the ground. During my regime, i won an award for the best event(2017 first year's party). I went on to win male artist of the year three times in a row(2016,2017,2018) and signed off my campus days in style. I'm also a sports person who's perfect in four disciplines.Soccer was my first game before i quit to join Rugby in 2012 while stil a form two. I won certificates of merits for representing my school in Rugby and 100m sprints. This trend continued in campus but in 2016 i quit rugby for American football, elevating all the way to the Kenya team.
Lastly, i got motivated to become a lecturer since I've taught in primary and secondary school levels after my KCPE and I realised im passionate about teaching. To sum it all up,I'm a Jerk* of all trades, and that didn't come easy. When God's got you, you're good to go!

brief bio

Age 20
Eddie is a versatile musician great actor and an innovative fashionista. Born in Mathare estate and brought up partly in Nairobi Eastland and sub urban estates I experienced what it is to live in both worlds. Growing up I had to deal with a frustrated father and thus experienced the struggles of a mother trying to raise three kids all by herself despite having a life partner. So yes it’s not like not having a father figure but more like having the wrong impression of what a father should act like. This pushed me to manning up at quite an early age so as to be the pillar of support for my mom.

Eventually father came around though the lessons learnt from the time he was what he was still are a part of my life. With this kind of experience, I grew to become a man with utmost respect for the women in our society. It also made me have an aspiration to becoming a better man to restore honor to manhood. musician actor and fashion stylist. Having attained a grade C in my K.C.S.E I decided to follow my heart’s desire where I put all my energy, time and devotion to ART. In a musical and drama way I express myself both as an entertainer and as an advisor. In the fashion industry I am innovative when it comes to what to piece up to what making me refer myself to as one of the best fashion stylists of all time. I have a passion in helping people realize their dreams for there is no greater pleasure in life than doing what you love and admire. A talent can also be turned into a career by channeling our energy in the right direction and giving it our best. I believe with ambition, determination and passion man can overcome anything in the way of acquiring what he desires. Home of ideas has given me the platform to share my experience and pour out to all young people out there the secret to living one’s dream. I would be honored if I got to share this with you and help you live your dream with balancing between academic excellence and life skills.

~EZBON MWAKABULUFU [STARONE]~

brief bio

My challenging journey as an artist/musician. Am Ezbon mwakabulufu aka Star one. I am a Tanzanian based artist currently studying Clinical medicine and surgery at MKU Thika main campus It has been such a challenging for me as a musician and a student at the same time. I was born in Mbeya,Tanzania. When i was in highshool as a form one,i was a talented footballer and for this,m i had many friends. I even had a girlfriend who loved me for the footballer i was and she thought i would be a famous footballer, unfortunately i had an accident while playing a match.I broke my hand and had a leg fructure and after that moment, the doctors said i could nolonger play any field game again in my life. For this,i cried and all my friends pitied me for what had happened. My girlfriend left me since she saw that my dream was no more and i would never be famous so she broke up with me. After all what had happened,in the verge to impress my girlfriend,i composed a simple song and even though i had never sang any song before but i sang it anyway. After she heard the song she was so pessimistic and thought that i was joking and that i couldnt make a good artist. She left and after her,i lost more friends. I started composing more songs and for the first time i went to a prestigious studio in Mbeya city,at that time.It comprised of great artists and they couldnt record a song for me..this is after they listened to my melody and my song compositions..i was told to leave the studio and never to approach the studio ever again. I stayed for a while, composing a few more songs and i visited two more studios without luck..it came a time i had to look for a producer,i befriended him and promised i would do some few jobs for him. I did assignments in the studio and begged some money from my dad since i couldnt work at that time for the school work and studio assignments i was doing during the weekend. My father was against me being a musician and he wanted me to be better in school. He offered me no help, instead he discouraged me from doing music.I understood him since he wanted the best of me. After a few months,i heard of a kids' talent show in Dar es salaam and i decided to attend the event. I got a chance to perfom and i was the second runner's up in the competition. The sponsors of the event told me to choose one Tanzanian artist to record a song with and i chose Beka Ibrozama since he was a good vocalist at that time..we recorded a song which was my song Penzi kama kikokohozi. This song was of a hiphop genre which gave me a chance to go to my first my first big chance to be in a show,i was still in form five.here i met a couple of artists,AT and YTONY.These two artists heard my voice and advised me to persue my career and make a different music genre apart from hiphop. After that i trained vocally and recorded another song Baby Mama. I completed my highscool and decided to push my songs but they did poorly businesswise. I almost gave up on the career but my father saw the efforts and encouraged me. After highschool, three months later i got an admission to Mount kenya University and came to Kenya. I worked hard on my studies and i attended a few singing competitions. I composed a song here in kenya with the Help of Afdope studio in Thika, And help from Golden who is a vocalist and songwriter based in Tanzania.i worked on this song, put in all of my savings and funds and when i returned to Tanzania for my holidays i recorded the song and ever since the song was out,i have had many chances including winning churchill auditions and perfoming in the show in december 2018. I have composed other songs and am currently working on a project. I have also got a chance to to collaborate with major artists and i know with time i will achieve my goals and i will make big music and a few videos. I also write a few songs for artists and do shows that earn me money. I believe that if your dreams dont scare you, then they are not big enough.. It is never too late to persue your dreams and everyone should do what they like and being discouraged is never an option or an excuse to failing in life.
